21 Weeks! 4 months to go.

Here we are at 21 weeks. Last Monday at our 20 week ultrasound we had a little (felt big) scare. They found calcium deposits in the baby's heart. They sent us to a high risk OB (Dr. Dungy- Tony Dungy's sister, we really liked her) She did a level II ultrasound in which they were actually checking for down syndrome. They measured limbs, the skull, checked blood flow and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't really remember. Regardless, after a long week of worrying they said baby looked perfectly healthy, I guess calcium deposits are a common finding but that didn't make it less scary. So we are very happy with the news and moving on with this pregnancy! We are keeping our fingers crossed to stay out of the hospital for the next 4 months. To celebrate a healthy baby I decided to chop my hair off once we left the hospital- I have been wanting to do that for awhile. In the meantime, Chris has really started letting himself go (note picture above) but I don't say anything.

Here is baby at 20 weeks and 2 days. This is a profile view and above the face is the left leg, flexible little thing. And no- we did not find out the sex!

Here we are at 20 Months. Last night we went to my 10 year class reunion and had people over before hand and after the reunion we went to O.P.T.'s where we discovered they do not serve N.A. beer so I had a diet coke and a shot of pineapple juice with Mary and and Liz. Then Chris, Eric, Packy and Joe stayed up had 'dance party' until 5 a.m. So in these photos we are pretty tired.

At 20 weeks the baby is the size of a banana, 10 inches from head to heel! Yesterday Chris felt the baby kick for the first time.

Here I am around 19 weeks. We spent the weekend at Grandview, it was perfect weather but my bathing suits are getting smaller and smaller! On the way to the lake we stopped and bought a changing table. Now all we need is a rocker and we are set. Well, kinda. The swirls on the wall are paint samples, I wrote 'baby' really big but we will eventually paint over that.

Today I was sitting in an exhibition meeting that was pretty brutal and I felt a little flutter. I thought hmmm...then about 45 min. later I felt it again and I knew it was the baby! I leaned over to my work friend and I whispered "Holy Crap, I felt it move!" And her response was "It wants to get the hell out of here."

I was so happy to finally feel the baby move, it felt like a little butterfly on the left side of my tummy. Chris is jealous and said he wants to feel the baby but I told him he wasn't allowed.

Here I am at 18 weeks. We forgot to take Chris' 18 week picture :( We spent this past weekend with my college friends. Here is a picture of me and the girls shot gunning a beer. Don't worry mine is a non-alcoholic beer.

Here we are at about 18 weeks (4.5 months) Chris looks like crap in my opinion. We bought this poster on ebay, I think we are going to decorate in art deco vintage art.
