We made it! We came home on Tuesday and I must admit I am completely sleep deprived and exhausted.
Henry has to eat every two-three hours, if he does not wake up by the third hour we have to wake him up. He is breast feeding and then supplementing with a bottle of additional breast milk. The whole process takes at least an hour, usually a half hour of breast feeding, 15 min. of bottle, then 15 min of pumping for the next round of breast milk. Then we do it all over again with in two hours. Ugh. I can't for him to gain a few pounds and then things will begin to be more normal like a full term baby. He is still precious, getting a little more mouthy and wants to be held more, which we like doing anyway.
Chris is already an amazing dad and absolutely an amazing husband. He has gotten up for many late feedings and then heads to work. He is constantly telling me to go take a nap and take care of myself. Yesterday, I went to Babies R Us by myself. This is the first outing I have had since early November due to bed rest. I haven't driven a car either (plus I was on pain medication from the c-section and my license expired while on bed rest, I had no business going anywhere!). Chris and Henry stayed home while I ventured out, it was really nice but I was exhausted before I made it to the store. I loved it though. Diapers are stupid expensive. And fair warning, you get more stretch marks after you have that baby. BS. Anyway, while I was gone Chris feed Henry, did laundry, fixed the garbage disposal, did the dishes, gave Newman medicine and then made homemade banana bread. Show off. I can barely stay awake let alone shower. I just wish he had boobs too.
Bo and Newman are intrigued, well, Bo is anyway, I think Newman just now noticed him today. Bo seems to be protective and curious. She like to lay with her head on his belly. Newman pooped on the floor today, I wonder if it is because he noticed Chris has a new son.
I will post more later once I get a routine down, however that happens! I will also post more photos, I take pictures almost everyday, its just hard to find time to get on the computer.

YEH! Congrats to both YOU and Henry on being home...Great that you got outta the house for a lil' bit! And i'm sure Chris was trying to help out MEGA time with getting like 500 things accomplished! Who does that--let alone who WANTS to do all of those things? Pfff...
Anyhow--best of luck to all three of you and the upcoming days, weeks, and etc till you post again!
Hey Chris, Jan and Henry! Great Mama Aggie, Great Auntie Mo and I just watched all the youtube videos (I brought my laptop to Mama's). We LOVED them all! Our favorite video was the f-word video. We just laughed. Soooo glad that you are home...what a great way to ring in the New Year! You are all in our prayers and know that we are sending you love every single day! We love you, Great Auntie Kathy
it does get easier - i swear! chris is a wise man to make you take naps. he should be taking them, too. "sleep when the baby sleeps" is the absolute best advice i got & the hardest to follow.
keep coming with the pictures when you have the time & energy to post. i'm loving looking at sweet little henry. i can almost smell his new baby head through the computer.
warning to you - i must come see him soon. maybe next week if you're up to it. i'll call. i'll be happy to hold him while you take a shower or something...

Henry is cool, so I guess it was worth it. Right, Jan? You are all beautiful and I love you guys to pieces...Meme
How cute are the 5 of you in the McCugh household. You two are the best parents....banana bread..I am impressed to say the least. I think Henry kind of looks like you Jan and I know it is early but something resembles you on that sweet little face. Next time you go on an outing I think it should be to spa for a massage and facial, pedicure too..you deserve it. Peace and love to you all!

Hi Jan! I just found out you have a blog (from Kellie). How fun! Your blog is wonderful and what fun it will be for Henry to read when he gets older. And speaking of Henry, he is absolutely PRECIOUS!! What a little sweetheart! The photos and videos are so special. Can't wait to meet him in person. CONGRATULATIONS to you and Chris! He really is a GREAT daddy!
Much love to you dear!

Hi Jan! I just read through your blog and you have been through the ringer. My daughter was born early--36 weeks and we had to nurse nurse nurse her all of the time, it was all I did for about 6 weeks. You will get through it, I know its tough! Hang in there:)
